PROGRAM
GUIDE
OK, so your ready to get started. Here is our
guide to running an effective campaign to start
or increase your organizations planned giving.
Follow the outline below and we think you'll be
pleased at the results your able to generate with
our help and support.
Step one
Most organizations have some form of a newsletter.
The best and easiest way to kick of the campaign
is to let your donors know about the benefits
of planned giving and provide them with an easy
way to get additional FREE information if they
find this to be an area of interest. To do this,
click the link to the left labeled Newsletter
Articles and copy our turn key pre written articles
and insert them in your organizations newsletter
over the next several issues. The articles are
written to be non intrusive and educational in
nature. This is the best way to make people aware
of planned giving and introduce them to its many
benefits.
Step two
Consistency is key. Not everyone will see the
immediate need for planned giving but may find
the concept something they will be interested
in the future. In marketing, consistency is what
works. To add this aspect to the program we developed
a few consistency spot ads that can be inserted
in your organizations newsletter on a regular
basis. In the months when your not running an
article in the newsletter on planned giving, come
back to the site, click on the link to the left
labeled Consistency Spot Ads and choose the version
best suited for your newsletter.
Step three
If your organization has a web site, add a link
on your different site pages titled Planned Giving
or Ways to Give, something to that effect. Then
have it link to a page with information on how
your supporters can gain valuable benefits for
themselves while continuing to support your organization
using planned giving. We have designed a web page
for you that can be copied and used with your
web site. Again, click the link to the left labeled
Web Page and copy the information into your new
web site page. Your organizations web site now
has a Planned Giving section.
Step four
Direct mail, most organizations have written to
their supporters asking for continued support.
The majority of these letters ask for out right
donations. By giving your supporters another way
to support your organization using planned gifts,
you can help both your supporters with the valuable
benefits that planned giving delivers as well
as your organization with donations that tend
to be much larger than out right cash donations.
Click on the link to the left labeled Direct Mail
and use our pre written letters as your next mailing
or as inserts to a mailing your already planning.
Step five
Cartificate of Recognition, we will provide your
organization or your donor
(the donors choice) with a high quality frammed
certificate to recognize your donor for their
planned gift. These certificates can be used at
your organizations location on a "Wall of
Recognition". This is a nice gesture on your
part for the benefit of the donor and helps to
foster other gifts from supporters who see the
certificates displayed. These certificates are
provided by us FREE of cost to your organization
or your donors.
Step six
This step is for religious organizations that
provide offering envelopes to their congregation.
We have designed envelopes that incorporate a
brief reminder of planned giving. After all, these
are the envelopes your supporters are already
using to give. By using these new envelopes they
consistently see a reference to planned giving.
As we mentioned earlier, consistency in delivering
a message works. The donor may not be ready to
take advantage of planned giving today, but when
they are, they will have your organization top
of mind and an easy source to help you both accomplish
your goals.
There you have it, your turn key planned giving
program ready to go. Follow the outline and we
think that you will see your organizations goals
become closer to reality.
As always, we are here to help, contact us by
phone or e-mail and one of our Planned Giving
Advisors will help guide you through the program.
